Patch 1.7 for MAC

For those who have MACs and play Call of Duty 4 online, looking for the 1.7 patch but all are .exe files? I have been looking all around the internet for the patch, and finally noticed that ASPYR has the patch, after all they were the company that brought Call of Duty 4 to MAC.

Steps :

1. Go to "http://www.blogger.com/www.aspyr.com/"

2. Then at the top of the page, there would be a section called "Patches".

3. Click on this, and on the right of the page there is a list of Games that have patches.

4. Click on Call of Duty 4.

5. Go to the latest patch which is the 1.7 patch and go to the "Digital Verison" download not the "Boxed". (Boxed is for the retailed and bought version)

6. Download it.

7. Open it up. (If it is a .zip file, open it to the end then click on Call of Duty 4 1.7.1 Installer)

8. Install the game to the Macintosh HD

9. Then you have it at 1.7 patched version now. (This includes new maps, such as (Chinatown, Creek, Killhouse and Broadcast).

10. Now that the patch is updated, go to either (here or here) for the cracked servers.

11. When you reach the sites, find an IP address of your choice and copy it.

12. Then open up the console by pressing the tilde key (~) and type "connect xxx.xx.xx.xxx:xxxxx". (These x's represent the IP address numbers). Then paste it spaced after "connect". [Hint: "~"/ tilde key is usually found below the "esc" key]

13. If you press (~) and the console won't bring up, it is that you have not enabled it. Go to (Options --> Game Options --> Console --> Enable).

13. If you fail to reach any of these websites, type up "Cracked Servers COD4" on google.

CrossFire

CrossFire is a shooter game just like Call of Duty 4 or Combat Arms. Crossfire might not have graphics that match with Call of Duty 4 or Combat Arms (not by a mile) but it's really fun. They have a wide range of guns, equipment and melee weapons. It is a fast action shooter, and the maps are all pretty good. It might not be available now because it is under construction (not physically).

Hey to all, I am a new member of the admin of this blogspot. This is my first post to this blog and I will tell you something about Call of Duty 4 if you don't know already. I've been playing this on Mac version for a month so far and I am currently on rank 36 going on to 37. In this post I will tell you about cheats and hacks that I found yesterday, the cheats and hacks do not require any download or patches. Only thing needed is to enable your console on and using codes you can put hacks on. But *DO NOT USE THE HACKS IN A PUBLIC GAME!*. The first step is to enter multiplayer mode, and you don't create server. Then you bring up your console by pressing this button "~", if it fails to exist go to "OPTIONS" and "Multiplayer Options" then enable the console. Once the console is up, type in "Devmap mp_ (whatever map you want- just type them right) [Ex: /Devmap mp_crossfire] this would automatically start a new private server. It starts up like every other game and then you select a class.
Here is a list of all the codes for console (these also work on story mode):
1. /god - this enables the god mode, making you invulnerable
2. /player_sustainammo 1- this enables unlimited ammo without reloading
3. /cg_thirdperson 1 - This code will enable the character to third person mode, allowing the character to only be seen from its back, just as GTA4 looks. (Thirdperson mode is not affective in story mode)
4. /cg_laserforceon 1- Enables all guns to have red lasers for better aiming.
5. /jump_height xxxx- You type in this and type in numbers to replace xxxx, the number ranges from 39 to 1000.
6. /g_speed xxxx- This increases the running speed, replace the xxxx just as above.
7. /g_gravity 5 - This is a mode that lets you float around like a ghost. There is also /g_gravity 40 and /g_gravity 800 is default.
8./give all- This unlocks all the weapons.
9. /give (requested item)- Type this in and type in your requested item such as claymore without the parentheses. (this may not work all the time)
10. /noclip- This allows you to walk to through walls. Wall hacks

*If using the "Player_sustainammo 1" it's best to shoot the grenade launcher in mid air just by holding the left click, or jump up in mid air and shoot downward. This would create an airstrike attack without having to get 6 kills. *

Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare

Look, i know COD4 has been out for a while now. although i just hit rank 55, i do want to share a few tips.

Weapons:
->When unlocked, get the P90. Although many think of this weapon as noob, it isnt as long as you dont spray an pray....gayest tactic ever. attach a silencer an perk 1 as bandolier. Use sleight of hand for perk 2. will make things a bit a=easier in tough situatuions.
-> Make a class with a m14 or m21. Use this class as your sniper. you could use the m21 as a shotgun replacement, this is pretty effective.
-> When unlocked, make sure to equip martydom to most classes because many challenges are for martydom. it does take a while to complete these but the payoff is worthwile.

Maps:
-> When in backlot, STAY MOVING! the worst thing you can do in backlot is camp. you will be easy to pickoff because although the map is large, people always storm the buildings.

Ok so anyone who likes MMORPGs will love this. Especially if u like Sci Fi games. Its a great space based rpg. It does have a client you must download. It has great elements with different planets fot different level and lots of free giveaways of rare items. although they have many updates, almost every other update involves a free gift event. they have a skill system kinda like WOW using the F1-10 buttons. They do have an ingame real money system called Zero Points. These can be used for various things like upgrading your units or buyin items. you can get the free version of these from most events. i play this game myself so if you would like help/friend me my Char name is Strykerr; server Centarus, levels 177, 167, 164.
